Facilities
TESTING FACILITIES AVAILABLE FOR ENSURING THE BEST QUALITY AND
SAFETY OF DETONATORS
The quality ensuring tests are carried out at three stages:
1. Input raw materials for processing the detonators
2. In Process Tests during the manufacture of detonators
3. Testing procedures on the finished product - detonators

Advantage |
|
1. Drop Test |
Drop Testing |
It ensures the proper filling of explosive and its adherence in the detonator shell |
|
2. Shake Test |
Shake test apparatus |
It simulates the transporting goods in the carriers and ensures safety and reliable initiation of detonators |
|
3. X-ray Test |
X-ray machine |
It physically takes a picture of explosive inside the shell to ensure the proper crimping of shell and filling of explosive. |
|
4. Safety fuse Test |
Safety fuse crimping machine |
It ensures initiation capability of primary explosive in the field conditions. |
|
5, Sand Bomb Test |
Sand Bomb Equipment |
It physically verifies the strength and side brisance of detonator |
|
6.Snatch Test |
Snatch Test equipment |
It ensures reliable crimping and good soldering strength of lead wire to the fuse heads in the detonators and ensures safe handling to the end users. |
|
7.Underwater Test |
Under water equipment |
It ensures the reliable initiation of detonators in watery holes and hydrostatic pressures in the holes or under water applications |
|
8. No fire current Test |
Constant current meters |
It ensures the no fire current capability of electric detonators for stray currents and leakage currents |
|
9. Impulse Test |
Impulse Test equipment |
It ensures the limits of energy for reliable initiation and non initiation of electric detonators |
|
10. Single firing current Test |
Constant impulse current equipment Digital Ohm meters |
It indicates the minimum firing current for a single electric detonator |
|
11. Series firing Tests |
Constant current
equipment |
It ensures the reliable initiation of detonators in the series firing in the field and the required blasting machine. |
|
12. Lead Plate Test |
Lead Plates |
It confirms the strength of detonator in delivering the expected energy when fired. |
|
13. Delay time Test |
Delay firing Machines Delay time measuring meters |
It ensures the required delay timings of the delay detonators |
|
14. Fragment Test |
Digital video cameras |
To visualize the detonation and fragment movement of the detonator. |
|
15. Incendivity Test |
Buxton Chambers, gas analyzers, methane gas |
To evaluate the conformance of Copper detonators for underground coal mines |
|
16. ANFO Test |
Test Chambers |
It confirms the reliable initiation of ANFO with ordinary and electric detonators. |
